Warranty Coverage
Every new BMW comes with a four-year, 50,000-mile warranty that covers certain repairs. This is transferable to new owners, so if you buy used, you’ll inherit the coverage as long as you haven’t hit the year or mile limit. If you buy used under the certified pre-owned program, you’ll automatically be granted an additional year of coverage with unlimited miles on top of whatever is remaining of the new vehicle warranty.
Buying used, you also have the option of purchasing extended coverage. This will give you warranty protection for your BMW up to the manufacturer’s maximum-allowed six years.
